I have the problem with the AC vents blowing out the defrost during acceleration and I am also getting code P0405 when reading the check engine light. Read some other replies here and seems to be some experienced Ford fans. Then HCV opened no vacuum and no more heat. I found a white hard vacuum line coming up from the front of the engine cross member and hooked it to the valve but found it was plugged with screw at other end.
